Mill Meadows has miles of marked and unmarked trails to explore, taking you through 90 acres of fields, meadows and woodland. You will be able to learn more about the history of Mill Meadows and Billericay on our Heritage Trail to be released later in 2018.

Explore the reserve 

As well as exploring the reserve via our trails, you can also use your smartphone to access more information on your walk.

Situated around the reserve at different entrances, you will find 8 NFC (Near Field Communication) tags. Scan the tags with your phone to visit our website and find out interesting facts about the field you are in.

How to use NFC tags

Android users

To use the tags, you will need to ensure your data and NFC setting are on.

To switch your NFC settings on, view your Settings > Connectivity. Depending on your handset, the NFC settings are usually found with your wifi and bluetooth settings.

Once switched on, hold your phone next to the tag and the webpage should open in your browser. Please note, you will need to be able to access the internet to view this content and your usual data charges will apply.

Apple users

Only some iPhones support NFC and you may need to install an application. We suggest that you check with your Apple iPhone support or https://nfc.today
